    Inconsistent

We have shopped at MI sports for over 10 years. This was our third try on experience and it could not have been more frustrating. A new $75 try on fee was introduced with the promise that it could be applied to the suit. My daughter tried on a TYR suit she was familiar with but it was entirely too small and the second associate said “I would never have put her in a TYR, she is best in an arena which we are out of right now”. Unfortunately we ran out of time and were told if we arrived by 5 PM on a weekday they would make time for us. We returned a week later and the associate insisted my daughter start in a 28 ( she is a 22/24) per policy. Needless to say 3 suits later and convincing the associate ( showing her the gaps and wrinkles) we landed on a 24. However we needed a style they didn’t have. At this point the story was full at 6 PM with 4 additional girls trying on. Not one person had to pay the $75 fee. When I asked, the associate states “Oh we stopped that for now” and “we are letting you keep your fee as a courtesy “ Fast forward to the next day phone conversation with the manager and many inconsistencies revealed themselves. #1 “We saved a suit for you, but had to sell it” #2 “Every girl in that shop was billed a $75 try in fee” (unfortunately not true as my daughter friend and mom were in the store that night and confirmed this) #3 “I would never have started her in an arena glide, we would have tried the air, but we are sold out now. She can come in and we’ll try the TYR” (Wait what? This is the same associate that said she would never out my daughter in a TYR) So here I am with a $70 credit ( one time courtesy offered to me per the manager) to a store I am hesitant to shop at. Fortunately, I found the suit serendipitously on the arena site for $100 cheaper. Both associates kept their calm with my rising frustrations. My recommendation is that all associates have training on consistent tech suit fitting and a written policy be posted so these “one time courtesies “ and “we aren’t doing that today “ don’t happen.
